BUILT AROUND YOUR WORK

A workflow you
feel comfortable using.

01

Start with your subjects

Small matte packaging, reflective metal and large appliances need different setups. A typical product and a difficult one give us a useful starting point.

02

Allow room to work

Backdrop, camera distance, lighting, preparation and clear walkways all need space. We plan around your largest regular subject and the required views.

03

Control lighting and colour

We test light surfaces, reflections, exposure and white balance on your products. Suitable viewing conditions and the export settings are part of the workflow.

04

Make repeat sessions easier

Documented camera positions, distances and lighting help the next session. File naming, processing and approval should be clear too.

PRACTICAL OUTCOMES

What you take away.

  • An agreed requirements brief and room/equipment concept
  • Assessment of existing equipment and reasoned recommendations
  • A tested capture setup for representative products
  • Practical guidance and an agreed setup/quality checklist
We agree the scope before we begin.

Choose a package or ask about an individual project. Equipment purchases, construction, electrical work and ongoing support are agreed separately where needed.

ROOM, LIGHTING AND WORKFLOW

Plan the setup as a whole.

Leave room for the subject and for the work.

We consider the capture area, lighting, camera and image checks together. This sketch illustrates the relationships; your actual plan is based on your room and subjects.

Use the room checklist

BEFORE WE GET STARTED

Your questions, answered.

Do we need a dedicated room?

A permanent room makes recurring capture easier. A mobile setup can also work if storage, setup time and repeatable positions are planned. We discuss your subjects and production schedule first.

Is a photo booth enough?

It can suit some small products. Highly reflective, transparent or larger items may need more control over lighting surfaces and backgrounds. We assess your actual range.

Which camera should we buy?

We first clarify subject size, output format, working distance and ease of use. Your existing camera may already be suitable.
